Maybe this is the wrong area to ask this question. But, since I think most members in this section already own Z06s I wonder why there are so many 2002-3 cars on the market at unbelievable prices. Is it the economy? Professional reviewers in magazines rate Corvette and particularly the Z06 extremely well. GM flagship!!!
As a sign of the times last week I was offered a brand new 2003 for five grand off sticker in Californa. Unheard of a few months ago. And a 2003 with 256 miles went for $43750 a couple of weeks ago.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
CHECK TODAY UNDER C5 FOR SALE/WANTED: 2003s at invoice except for 50 th cars. Includes Z06s. At least that is the thread. Sale Saturday only. But, a sign of the times!
I just snatched up an '02 Torch red/black Z06 with 8K miles for $39,500 2 weeks ago in like new condition. I'm happy! :hurray:
I intend to keep it as a daily driver for many years so I'm not worried about prices now. I figured NOW was the time to buy with all the end of year deals driving pricess lower in second half of December.
This is my first Vette. What a ride! Here's what it sounds like in my house. "What honey, you need a toothpick? I'll run over to the store and get it for you!" An hour later she has her toothpick.
Hey I found a left over new 02 Z! Trying to get the dealer down to a reasonable price (translation - below invoice). :D This is what they say is the invoice:
$44521.85
$670 Destination
$508.90 Dealer Co-Op
$254.45 Local Ad
$45955.20 Invoice
I might buy the Dealer Co-Op, but I don't buy the Local Ad. Anybody know if this is legit?

Where are they offering Z06's at $5000 below sticker? I want one.
I got $6,000 off MSRP(sticker: $52,090), chromed Z06 wheels for $700 and window tint for $150. Driveout price (includes tax, title, license, registration, inspection, chrome wheels, tint and everything else I could be forgetting) for $50,780 out the door.
If anyone would be interested in this same deal, they have like 6-8 Z06s on the lot and another 6-8 Z06s inbound and there will be no hard negotiations (took me all of 15 minutes). :yesnod:

If this is true, DO TELL, inquiring minds want to know!
If you are ready to purchase (contract on a car immediately or at least before the 1st of Febuary), I can get you in touch with the right person @ Frank Parra Chevrolet in Irving, Texas. If you don't have all your ducks in a row and don't walk in with commonly varifiable information about the car you are wanting to purchase such as exact invoice on the car you want and another *workable* and varifiable deal from at least one other dealer, I can promise you you won't get the same deal I got (information is power). When I first started negotiations, my salesperson came back with MSRP plus $1995 for a set of "exchanged" chrome wheels (they pull my brand new ones off and put the chrome ones on and keep my wheels) and when I scoffed, asked me for Landmarks bottom dollar deal. I looked at their sheet and then looked him squarely in the eyes and said "Look, please don't waste my time with the going back and forth to your manager charade. This is THE deal from Landmark. You can either match it or exceed it by around $100 or I'll just drive down to Houston and pick up the car there. We both know you and your manager can figure out if this is a doable deal or not, so please don't come back unless you have a yes or no answer." I give him the DRIVE OUT price at Landmark, he comes back and says I have a deal, shakes my hand and that is it. No B.S.
thanks for the info,Iguess it would'nt hurt to give them a call. I have a local dealer here in Albuquerque down to $4,000.00 off MSRP on a yellow one due in Feb.21. Maybe another 1,000.00 off or 1.5% financing is workable...
I'm buying one as soon as I find the best price but it has to be yellow. If anyone knows a dealer that has alocation and will do better then 4k off I can have a courtesy drop ship to a dealer here for $200.00. It won't help if its on the ground due to shipping charges run about $900.00.
i picked up an '03 electron blue Z06 for $7,000 off msrp last month... i spent a couple of weeks looking for the best deal i could find, bouncing from dealership to dealership, and looking on the 'net... in this economy, the last thing a salesman wants to see is you walking off the lot without a new car...
