Default Interior trim clips

ACTUALLY getting into fixing what I'm pretty sure is a condition 7 water leak. After I got the last of the rear interior pieces removed I noticed that my driver side b pillar had left a metal clip behind in the body. I used a couple trim removal tools to wedge it out. Only noticed once I had got back inside to set the panel down that the passenger b pillar had done the same exact thing, in the same exact spot.

I squeezed the recovered clip back on but I'm definitely not happy with how it sits. I'm guessing once the clip is bent in such a way it's junk. Looks like there's some close by at an advanced auto store.

Just looking for anyone who's experienced replacing these clips. Maybe there's a trick to putting them on. Idk

Only other concern ATM is whether or not I'll have enough silicon. Got a tube of this red ast rtv from work. Figured it should be good stuff.

I could post some pictures if it helps, though I figure anyone who responds would unfortunately know what I'm talking about. Also wouldn't mind opinions on replacing the plastic fasteners. Car has 13k or so miles on it. Definitely seems like they had never been pulled off before. They still looked "ribbed" enough for her pleasure, but they're cheap, so yeah.

Appreciate you guys.
