Remote start

Hello does anyone have a remote start in their C5? And are there any cons in having one

There are aftermarket remote starts but I'm not sure they're compatible with a C5 let alone one with a manual tranny

Yeah, I’m a parking brake believer but don’t really want to park in neutral.

I've akways heard they do not work well on Corvettes.

even on the c7, where it was an option, wasn't it only available on auto?

I had it on my C7 which was an auto......not available with manual

I have a push button start system that I bought a few years ago, but I've never gotten around to installing it. It comes with a remote start. I have an auto though. I loved the aftermarket remote start that I had on my old Mustang. Honestly, I don't think I'll use it all that much since I have a garage now.

I believe that it is illegal to have a remote start installed in manual transmission equipped vehicles, at least in some states. Parking brake or not, I wouldn't want to be standing in front of, or behind, a car that the owner left in 1st gear or reverse when it starts!!
