Hi Guys, I have been reading many different threads and was looking for a little advice. I have added after market lights from Sharp Lighting Innovations, JVC touchscreen stereo, and a Skar 800 amp and 12 inch subwoofer and I killed one battery, probably because I didn't remove the negative once while doing installation, and it seems like when the car goes to idle the charge drops to the 12's and 13's at times.
So I am going with a high output alternator and was wondering if any one had any advice on Amps or Manufacturers. Also I was looking at the 220amp from Powermaster at Summit Racing.
what he said. Also, I have tried using Power Master and it still couldn't keep battery charged. So I kept the OEM and had it rewound to have greater output. No problems since. Cheers!!!

Ah! But when, by who, and where? I ask when because so many shops have gone under in the last few years. Do they have a website, and maybe work with mail order upgrades?

A year ago, local electrical engine repair shop Bakersfield. Mostly does many of the oil rigs motors but he does it all. Cheers!!!
You can call these guys and they can tell you if they can boost the output of your existing C5 Alternator. This place has been in business since 1954. They may be able to build you one and ship it for an outright sale? If nothing else can steer you towards a solution. Give Larry a call. https://www.mgautoelectric.com/auto-...c-part-service
