Default ron carter autoland sux

to start off steve02c5 was the dealership you had youre car at this one. i also live in friendswood...i think i saw your car they were showing it to me ..any way i dont even know were to start my transmission was grinding going into 4th gear {bad}. :banghead: so i took it to ron carter i told them i thought the syncros were going out in my transmission..first thing they asked was i hot roding the car, i told them i drive it like the vidio i recieved with the car .. any way i waited a week no word i called and a week went by they hadnt even looked at it yet i was pissed :nono: .thursday came, and they called and said the car was ready so i was happy :) .i went to pick up the car and it had 20-25 miles on it and the front rims had a half inch of brake dust on them .. the car looked like it had been off road . :mad i waited about 30-45 min. and no car i asked and they said they lost the keys to the car ..{that was a lie the had a bat.charger hooked up to it} ... so i took the car home .on the way home i noticed the center section they had taken out wasnt installed properly and the dash piece didnt even fit it was hanging out ..also there was a tear in my piller on the drivers side of the car ..grease in the passengers side seat..so i was going to try to fix the center section over my shifter myself.im walking to my tool box and notice 3 scratches on my front finder :mad :mad im really pissed by now i called the guy and told him i was bringing the car back.. i get in it and the car will not even turn over ..bat. was dead as a hammer .. im really pissed now :mad .i finally get the car started and bring it back ..2 days later i get the car back and the dash piece was half butt fixed and the scratches were buffed out ... they explained to me wile the guy was jump starting the car that he drug the jumper cables across the finder scratching it and they fixed everything else ...ok i finally got the car back i drove it around for a while got home cleaned it up waxed it poped the hood and noticed the carbon fiber coupler was off meaning that i drove my car 10 or 15 miles with no air filter at all ....man these peopl pissed me off and i dont think they should be able to get away with this kind of crap...

Man, this theme never seems to stop--what is it with these dealers, anyway? Very sorry to hear about this. Many of them just don't seem to care at all.

TT :mad

woah. Sorry to hear those problems. I have always been pissed off regarding GM dealerships in general until I went to Ron Carter. It was the first time I've been treated right at a dealership (any dealership for that matter, not just GM). In fact they give me preferential treatment due to the car I drive (again, major shocker!.. a Corvette owner not treated like a Chevette owner). I had my car in for minor TSB work under warranty. While I was there they found several other TSBs that applied to my car and fixed them all. Shoot, they fixed things I didn't even know where missing or broken. I've been there about a half dozen times for various things and they've always gotten my car to me on time (actually VERY quickly) and they had washed/cleaned it a couple of those visits. Though I MUCH rather clean the car myself. The only thing I can say is that once they got a little greasy fingerprint stuff on my clear top and on my inside of my passenger door, but it came right off. They also are very good about walking around my 'vette with me when I drop it off, looking for any pre-existing stratches or defects on the car. I know that is to protect them from me coming back and complaining about something that was already there. But, atleast it makes it seem like they'd be willing to fix anything they did. So far, I've had nothing but good experiences with Ron Carter. Sandy Hassel and Andy (the service people) have been the friendliest people to deal. BUT, I am aware that they did have a pretty big restructuring a few months ago. I think before that, they were having some pretty bad customer service issues. I got in during the re-organization, so maybe that is why I've been lucky there. Sorry to hear about the problems you had though. Major bummer. :nonod:

First, I've read enough to know that I would find another Chevy dealer for repairs. Second, no matter where you go, do a walk around before and after. Most places won't do anything about damage once you drive the car away.

Install headers and void the warranty  You know, I just don't get it. The idiots get paid for warranty work, so why do they always want to turn away business? Don't they realize we only go to them BECAUSE the car is in warranty. No warranty, no way I would let a Chevy dealer do anything other than an oil change.
