Well put on Magna flow exhaust Street series axle back on my 1999. Way to much drone not real happy. Not sure why this is did lots of research and people say they have this exhaust and no drone. Thinking of going back to stock and use these tips
After having factory side pipes on my '72, I did not want loud in the C5. I bought the '04 vert with Magnaflow already installed. I found it is the right sound mix for cruising but when you need the RPM's.
Double check your installation — any contact between exhaust and body or chassis will definitely cause vibration issues.
That said, I think we all have different senses of what unacceptable drone is. Before going to the trouble of changing exhaust again, I’d suggest a sheet or four of Stinger Roadkill or Dynamat on the big flat wall behind the seats and the floor of the back. Under the seats would be good as well, but lots of work for a maybe improvement.
I've seen more people say Magnaflow systems drone than not. The only setups that I've seen consistent "no drone" stamp of approvals on is Corsa options and OEM (ti included).
I have yet to install my Flowmaster 817517 and I'm hoping for no drone, the gentlemen from Flowmaster said this system was designed for low drone on the highway, we will see.
