What gaskets do you guys use/recommend when installing an over the axle exhaust? I'm talking about the two bolt-hole muffler/flange to pipe connection. Parts houses are pushing the WLK-31537 (Walker) and is supposed to fit, but its a smaller inside diameter than the actual pipe size...I want no restriction. Genuine GM gaskets are $30+ something...aftermarket "Corvette suppliers" are in the $25 +/- range and Amazon/Ebay are priced from little to nothing to what's in your wallet? As a matter of principle I refuse to pay high dollar for these two simple exhaust gaskets...on the other hand I want them to not leak for a few thousand miles.
I put those exact gaskets on my Z06 after I did a "X" pipe addition. No worries and no leaks. Remember to torque them evenly (I seem to remember 30lbs ??) so as to not get leaks. Also use a floor jack, a board and a level to get your tips straight or (if you are like me) you will loose your mind seeing alignment problems.

Ok, thanks to you both for the info...much appreciated. There was a time you could get simple parts that actually fit...now one seems to have to roll the dice & pray.
Yes, I agree on the alignment...more than once, in the past, on other vehicles, I've had to straighten things by force to get the right "look".
