Having a problem finding shale parts I really just need the arm rest and radio bezel, but I did find some black parts and was wondering it would look horrible with my interior. Keep in mind I’m getting new carpet soon so I could make the carpet black. Everything else stays the same color.
for what its worth, I think black will look pretty bad mixed with the shale -- but that's just my opinion.
Pulling the console is trivial--- pull it out, pop the black one in, see how it looks.
Though I think you have bigger issues than the consol and carpet -- what the heck happened to your passenger seat?

lmao yeah man i've already ordered some new seats they just haven't got here yet. The previous owner didn't take care of the car the way he should have. Which is why i'm having to fix everything, and its been a learning process for sure.
Black wouldn’t work. I’d just paint the bezel but do something about those seat covers.
Currently waiting on the seats to arrive. I am assuming you are telling me i should paint the bezel i already have. I'm replacing them because they have some broken tabs so from the pass. side you can see the side of my radio if you are shining a flashlight through there.

Ok. Still, I’d find some Duplicolor, whatever, and paint it to match your interior.
Good to hear about the seats. Sounds like a neat project. Thought about starting a thread?
Im confused…. You recommended dye, not paint. This stuff says paint. Is dye going to be absorbed into plastic, or just adhere to the surface?
With dye you can heat up the plastic to open it's pores so yes, it works it's way into the plastic. The paint sits on top...........just a matter of choice. Me personally would use dye

Starting a thread? Like show my progress of it when I’m done? I’m new to this whole thing sorry man, I just know that I have questions and come here to ask them
There are several shale center consoles on fleabay.
I have nothing to do with this guy, and not promoting him, but here's an example -- $350 for what looks like a fairly clean and complete center console:
Maybe some rough spots around where the driver's knee would hit, but there are a few others listed.
I also took a quick look on the FB marketplace, there are several listed.
They're out there-- shale wasn't exactly uncommon. And doesn't seem like they're terribly expensive.
