Wow! Love the dash-clock bump and the look of all of it! Guess you get use to shifting left-handed, not sure how that would feel. Sources please or did you do all this?
All I see is $$$ signs - AUD's that is. Converting to RHD must have been a real tear up - everything from wiring through pedals to the rack - plus facia, etc., etc.
But I would have incorporated a modern screen based audio/GPS/etc. system.
I made the dash and center console and a few other parts, leather work was done by a custom leather guy that only works on high end vehicles, sources won't help you there all in Australia. You wouldn't beleive the hours that went into this interior.
The Pioneer was fitted 15 years ago and suits me fine, Bose was removed and Focal speakers installed, gps/sat etc not required, converting from LHD to RHD costs more than the car purchase price I paid 20 years ago, its a massive amount of work, custom work is expensive, its not going anywhere and you live but once.
The steering wheel is out of an Australian General Motors Holden SS Commodore, spline had to be cut out of the original wheel and welded into this centre, the airbag is out of a pontiac, I went through several options till I settled on this one, its the same wheel as my SS, good size and grip.
Shifting with the left is a no brainer its what we have here, I often drive in the USA and have no issues with the shifter on the right side, I guess if your a car you just do it naturally either way, but I can see how it would be an issue for some guys who have trouble driving wherever the the shift is.
I've driven a few right hand drive vehicles. The hardest transition is looking up and LEFT for the rear view mirror. 50 years of muscle memory can be hard to overcome.
