Default Tires

I’m getting a new set of tires. I have been used GoodYear Eagle Runflats on my 98 since I’ve had it.
thinking of maybe changing, any suggestions? If not I will stick with G.Y.

I had Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate on my '99 and Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP on my '03. Michelin is probably your best bet

Currently running Mich Pilot Sport A/S. Prefer them to summer tires so I can use the car all year - unless there is snow on the ground. Had them on a few years now, more than happy with them.

No matter what, ditch the run flats. However, my specific tire recommendation depends on how you intend to use the car. If you only drive the car in warm weather, then you want a max performance Summer tire such as The Continental ExtremeContact sport 02. If you drive year round, you can either get a set of Michelin all season tires, or you can get a Summer tire and Winter tire, and swap them out as the seasons change.

I put a set of 4 General Gmax RS on my 03 last year and couldn't be happier. Nice cool running and quiet, Corvettes are known for road noise being your only about 7 inches above the road surface, but on some roads I can even hear myself thinking ! Great pick for me !

In that case, I would go with a good pair of summer tires.

If you do not care if they are runflats or not, I ran Hankook Ventus V12 EVO tires on my last two C5s and was very pleased with them. And pricing was very good. For runflats, check out Michelin.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Nice tires, great price, good ride, way better than run flats!

I also have a set of gmax rs tires and feel the same way. I think they're great. My father has a 02 roadster and is on his 2nd or 3rd set of GY run flats. I've tried multiple times to get him to drop them but he just doesn't want to. He's says, "That's what the car came with, and that's what I'm using." I don't fault him or anyone else who won't give them up. I just think it's a better driving experience without them.

I have a set on my C6 since May 2021. These are awesome tires, my favorite so far. Great traction dry or wet, quiet and even wearing. Approaching 20K miles and the rears need to be replaced soon but the fronts look like they have another 15-20K miles of tread to go. Mine are the General G-Max RS Extreme Performance Summer 245/45-ZR18 & 285/35-ZR19. No problem running Summer tires year round in SW Florida.
