Well I wanted to kinda hide all the shale Plastic of the steering wheel and RPI designs had these 'Domed Silicone' emblems and i was able to work on it this past weekend, I cleaned the surfaces with Alcohol, then used 3M #4298 adhesive promoter and these emblems must have been sitting on the shelve for a long time and the adhesive on them was dried out, so I very gingerly used some E6000 adhesive and it seems to be holding fine,and I think it doesn't look too bad, anything to cover up all that shale vinyl ?
Looks good. Just be careful if/when you ever remove it. All the C5 steering wheel airbag covers are black, but the Anniversary and Commemorative Shale interiors airbag covers are painted Shale.
Assuming this is the steering wheel emblem? If so, looks great, and nice job. Care to elaborate on cost? I'd like one on my black steering wheel. One thing about our C5s kinda reminds me of a Henry Ford quote, changed slightly to reflect on my black interior. That would be this:

RPI Designs has them, or what is left for $39.00 and it takes about 10 days to arrive. The steering wheel emblem is a particular size. 3.25" X 1.58" and it comes on a clear backing and being clear it is pretty easy to align it up to the intended final spot on the steering wheel.
