I finally finished my car and looking to get prepared for 2024 Lucky Dog Racing League schedule. My car is a 04 Corvette Base. With Lucky Dog, I have to use Hankook RS4 Tires. My wheels are from Trackspec Motorsportrs and are 18x11 all around. https://trackspecmotorsports.com/rac...c5r-wheels-115 The biggest tire I can get from Hankook for RS4's are 295/40/18. I was also told to go with a 285/30/18 but I'm afraid of having stretched out tires. I would like to run square setup for tire rotation & evening out tire wear. Has anyone ran this setup previously or has any experience running 295/40/18s all around on their car? I am just afraid of rubbing on the fenders or rubbing when the car is turning into the apex.
I also have those wheels (and love them) on my street car. I run a 305/30-18 tire on them which is considerably smaller than what you're proposing:
And I just don't know how you'd fit an extra 2" of diameter on there. Clearance to the back of the front fenders is already paper-thin for me in some cases:
I run at the track with a guy who uses the RS4s 285’s square mounted on Z06 10.5” rears. 11” wheels are a touch wide for 285 imo, but check the approved rim widths for that size. Personally I wouldn’t put a 295/40 on the front, but maybe the back.
