My 2000 auto has 93000 miles on it. Don't know any history of the maintenance on it. Thought i would change trans fluid and filter and maybe the 1-2 accumalator since it has a hard shift from 1st to 2nd. After getting up close i could see the pan bolts have never been disturbed. All the bolts broke free so i started removing them. One of them started getting harder as i was losening it and it broke off. I thought well it would be alright since ones on both sides were ok. I got to another one and it started doing the same thing. I stopped and torqued them back up and said the heck with it. Filled fluid to proper level and nothing is leaking. Anyone ever run into this problem and suggestions on how to get broke bolt out. I have never broke a bolt by removing it. Guess it won't get a fluid and filter change!!!!!!!!!!!
Put some Kroil on them and slowly back out again. Go a little at a time so you’re not creating heat. When you put new bolts back in use antisieze.
What’s happened is the metal bolt has galled the Aluminum.
You'll need a bolt extractor. Generally that means drilling a small hole in the broken part and using the extractor to twist it out.
There are various brands of extractors.
The threads in the bolt holes are damaged, you'll probably need a Heli-coil or some other brand of thread repair kit to fix them.

I didn’t catch that one broke you are right .
Id try to chase the threads with a tap if they are just galled. It worth trying first. If not a Hemi-Coil isn’t hard to install.
