It's stock, but it's also 20 years old.

They've probably been changed.

My 03Z had these valve springs, so I changed them.

They went from Yellow to Blue and now are bare/grey steel. They could have been replaced at some point. From my reading the issue was with the Yellow springs specifically.

Yep. The yellow ones were problematic. Replaced by blue and silver. If it's not yellow, you're good.

Read the sticky post about the issue. Looks like you're good to me.

Default Mine were yellow 2002 C5Z

I sent a cheap amazon scope down the oil filler tube to find out if I had the yellow springs. Turns out I did.

Bought a Comp Cams spring kit, new valve seals, CHE Trunion Kit, new valve cover gaskets and bolts and all the tools to do it myself in my driveway. Watched a few videos on YouTube. It’s actually a very straightforward install. No issues at all and now I have some extra piece of mind that I ‘hopefully’ won’t drop a valve.

DM me if you need help or advice or extra confidence.

Erik
