I did mine in expel, the entire surface (not the roof since it's a convertible)... I belive 10 mil? 12 mil? I don't remember exactly but went up one thinkness than normal because I was going back and forth on the ferry at the time. All in (including picking my car up in an enclosed trailer) was aroun $6k+
Sorry I wasn't clear. I wanted to change the color of the car from red to something else. I have a clear Xpel on the front now. Just a color change wrap not a clear coated one. Sorry, just has surgeryand maybe wasn't thinking totally clearly.

Are you changing the color or staying with original? One condition needed for a good wrap application is how good is the surface it's going over. That wrap will show any imperfections in the old finish like scratches, dimples, road rash, orange peel, etc. I've seen the newer cars get wrapped but have not seen the older ones, which I'm sure have been done.
Just browsing from the net.
"Is wrapping a car cheaper than painting it? Generally, paint jobs range between $3,000 and $10,000. In contrast, you can find a high-quality car wrap between $2,500 and $5,000. Since a good paint job can cost more than double the cost of a professional vehicle wrap, many companies with fleets choose them over paint."

Depends on your area, and the type of film you go with, but typically between 2500-4000 for a color change wrap on a c5. Lots of options and types of film.
