1982 Corvette Coupe

only had 27,000 miles on it when it was sold in 2012, routinely scored 99 of 100 at judged Corvette Shows, got 26+ MPG

My 2009 C6 ZHZ (traded in on a new Silverado in 2013), though it had been a Hertz car it was in primo shape, had low miles, was 2LT with LS3, so it was loaded. I did a bunch of upgrades to her but really miss the NPP!

...or car did you previously own and wish that you never sold.

I had a 1965 Shelby GT 350 in 1971 with the blue stripes when I was a senior in High School. Amazing handling. Needless to say it was the only one in the area - maybe the State of IL back then? At least the south suburbs of Chicago. The car had traction bars for the drag strip. The prior owner must have popped the clutch too many times because he bent the left (rear) leaf spring with the traction bar along with the drive shaft!!! I replaced both with OEM parts from Ford as they were both in stock items at the time. VERY loud with blue, bullet style, blown out glass pack mufflers. Airplane style seat belts-never used em. No back seat - just a fiberglass shelf in the back. Did I say loud? Nice rumble for the cam too. Prior to that I had a 65 Chevelle, 327 300 hp powerglide - when racing at at a rolling start hit the go pedal on the 3rd beep of the horn at 30 mph and keep in 1st gear till about 80-90. Raced a 70-71 challenger who had a 4 speed, with 6 pack. He'd jump ahead when he shifted to the next gear but I'd nudge past him by staying in first. Oh to be 18-19 (and lucky) again. Other cars - other races - fortunately no one got hurt.

My 93 Z28! I didn’t sell it…I gave it to our daughter in Colorado. I was original owner, it had 297,000 miles on it, about 70,000 miles on the LT1 that I built in 2009. Only thing stock on the car was the interior except stereo system. Too many mods to list. miss that one, but it is still in the family.

Looking at the above ‘65 stirred memories of my ‘64 Chevelle. The front end had coil over shocks mounted on 4” hydraulic rams, full interior restoration, body smoothed and door handles removed, pearl ghost flames, 400 sbc, turbo 400, 3.73 12 bolt posi. Sold it when money got tight in a divorce. Grrrrr!

Besides that '69 427 Vette, another was a 1958 Chevy stepside pickup, on an altered 4×4 full size Blazer frame. It was an original SBC engined truck. In Michigan, like many northern states, salt ruins vehicles, especially all metal older vehicles. It needed some body work, but ran great. Still had the OEM vacuum wipers. The end of a near 20 year marriage meant the end of the '58. Wonder if it's still around? Divorces probably cause more turnover of vehicles than any other situation....

I had to enlarge my screen to confirm this wasn't a photo of my brother in his '65!!! You guys and your Chevelle's are doppelgangers. He's 54 and still has his Chevelle since he was 17.

I don't have any pictures that I can find, but the one I let get away was my tubbed '72 Chevy LUV with 350, high rise tunnel ram with dual 660 center squirters, B&M slap and turbo 400 trans. Bought it in 1993 for $3,500 from a guy getting divorced. Body was pin straight and engine bay meticulous. She only ran mid 12's but still a blast to street drive. A few years later I traded it for $2k and a barely ridden '95 Kawasaki KX125.

I've never seen another like it in my life. I shopped around for years to replace it but never come across anything but overpriced rotted out junk with the Isuzu drivetrain. So after many years I tracked down the guy that bought my LUV from me and turns out he scrapped it (WTF?) and put the engine in a 1970 something Camaro...which he wrecked within a year.
