Default Magnesium Wheels w/ Red Interior

As some may have read from a previous thread, I have picked up a set of magnesium wheels for my C5 and put 1x 18" rear on to compare with the front polished aluminum. Curious to hear your thoughts about keeping the magnesium finish as-is or getting coated in a polished-like finish. My main concern is the "gold" color clashing with my red interior.

Keep the magnesium wheels the stock color. They will look good on the car.

I like em as they are! Nice looking wheels.I don't think anyone really cares if they clash with the interior, they look better then the chrome in my opinion.

Thought about changing mine out for polished or chrome but cant do it. Mine are original to the car. They will look good regardless of your interior color.

I like the original finish. Keep them original, looks great. Polished would like fine too. You can't go wrong either way.

They look great and do not clash. I just wish they were bigger, 18&19. If you lower the car a bit, it will improve the appearance.

Lowering bolts, C6 Z06 sway bars and shocks...
...was the BEST dollar for dollar upgrade change on my C5.
It made a notable difference in handling and drive quality.

Ive seen some real hack jobs on these wheels. If they were my wheels, they'd stay as is. But that's just me......

Yeah, I def wish they were 18/19, but so it goes!
The car is already lowered, the rear end might be appearing higher as I had the car jacked up prior to the picture being taken.
I have the F55 magride which I really like, but will be adding C5 Z51 sway bars at some point.

Hey T- 100% keep them as is! Don't compromise the integrity of a great wheel. They do not clash any more or less with your interior than the polished aluminum does.

Then when/if you get bored with them... text me first offer dibs on purchasing from you.

Thanks all for your comments, the plan as of now is to keep the wheels AS-IS, get them ceramic coated, and get new tires in the spring

Definitely leave them as-is. Only other thing I'd try and do is find another pair of 18s to run a square setup.

That's what I want... someday.

I like them as they are on that car. I thought about getting a set and going medium metallic grey for the electron blue car at one time.

Do what you like. The design itself is a really good wheel!
