Default C5 Vette Net convertible windscreen information needed

I came across a Vette Net brand windscreen for sale and was wondering if it was a good quality one. From what I've found out from some research is that they have been discontinued. I like how it requires no drilling of any holes to mount it. Is there anything that I should be aware of before I make an offer? Any help or input will be greatly appreciated.

I had one several years ago, it worked well. Easy to install. I just didn't use it as much as I thought that I would so I sold it.

Thank you for the info. From what I found out there was a version that was an actual netting material and was eventually changed to a piece of plexiglass. Is there any truth to that? Also could it be left in place with the top up or does it have to be removed everytime?

There are windscreens out there that are plexiglass. The one you are looking at can't be left in place and must be removed to close the top.

I have the same one it came with the car and was not sure how to install it. Seen that one on Craig list and sent a message on how to install it, he sent me the directions. Very easy to put on and take off but I didn’t like it. If you try to take decal off don’t use goof off as it will melt the plexiglass. You may like it but just wasn’t for me.

Thank you for the information I sure appreciate it. Unfortunately the windscreen was sold but if I come across another one I will have all the info that I need.

If interested I still have the one that came with my car and I’m not going to use it. I live in NW Ohio but in Florida until April.

Yes I'm interested in it. I live in Vermilion so it would be possible to take a ride to check it out. My Corvette is in storage until the end of April so I won't need it until after that.

yes- I have the version with netting (lost the dammed mounting brackets) -0 the net worked great IMHO, they likely put in plexiglass becuase after a while the netting needed to be re-seated (like screening on a screen door)

It can't be left in, has to be removed if you want to put the top up.

I definitely want it but of course I have to see it first. Thank for keeping in touch. Just let me know when you're back from Florida and we'll work something out from that point.
