so I installed the MGW shifter box myself and a couple months later, I purchased the race ****. It arrived today and it has a set screw on it, washers and something to hold the boot up I think?
Does anyone know if this **** will work on the threaded shifter for the C5 or do I now have to order the non threaded piece?
Also, anyone know how the rubber seal works with attaching it to the shift boot?
I'd reach out to MGW directly. Im sure someone knows the answer on the forum, but MGW has pretty decent customer service, so I'd bet you would have an answer in a few minutes with a phone call.

for sure was just hoping someone had experience with it before Monday.
If the shift **** is threaded then it ought to be correct for the threaded shaft with the shifter. The little screw mounted to the front of the shifter is to lock it in place on the shaft. On my older one the shift ball has a delrin or similar plastic guard inside and the screw locks that firmly against the thread. In my case I went through the plastic in time and since I had the height I wanted I did not mind putting the set screw firmly into the threading. It has never budged.
Thanks everyone for the help! I messed around with it today and got the ring installed on the shift boot and then got the shift **** on. Looks great, can’t wait to drive it
