i have a little bit of a lag at full throttle, anyone know what this might be? slows down a little then picks back up. only when i am on it hard
Could be traction control. I've also seen lag/hesitation between shifts (not traction control). I read that the computer retards timing between shifts (feels like fuel pump, though). The lag you are seeing may be computer and/or sensor related. Can you describe under exactly what condition(s) it occurs?
Mine will do the same thing especially at uppper rpm range and always between shifts. It's the traction control. Turn it off and the stumble goes away. But, a warning is needed; without the traction control ON the car will get loose especially with the cooler temps that most of us are experiencing this time of year. Be sure to test this on a straight piece of highway :) . Happy running.
thanks alot guys i just tested and that was the problem. i had a 99 coupe auto before thats why i never noticed
The lag/hesitation between shifts may come and go, regardless of whether traction control is on/off. I've tested it with high-rpm shifts and very, very soft clutch engagement: tires are not spinning.
Also, remember you also have Competitive Driving Mode by holding down the button until it beeps (about 5 seconds). The DIC will display COMPETITIVE DRIVING. This will turn off traction control but keep Directional Stability enabled (yaw control / Active Handling).
Also, if you hit the rev limiter at high RPM, you'll notice some "lag" ;) .
