Default DRM brake duct question

Bought several DRM brake ducts advertised as being for a C5. One pair is about 1" shorter and the middle section is more flattened out.

You can see the difference in the pic below. I'm guessing the bottom one is the correct C5 duct?

I've got a set and I'll try to get pics when I get home but I'm not sure it would matter much except how the flex tube exit might interfere with your wheel. You might have to try both and see which lines up better.
One thing I did notice is higher speeds can move the ducts where they mount to the bumper inlet so do your best to make sure everything is mounted very securely.

Now... here's the other fun part. Many say (and I tend to agree based on experience) that the cool air that is being directed onto the back of the rotor can cause uneven cooling which can lead to premature rotor failure in the form of significant cracks normally on the outer friction surface. Its more advantageous to direct air onto the hub area which forces air to be directed onto the cooling veins between the friction surfaces.

Just some food for thought.

A pic would be helpful, thanks!

As for cooling, I already have OEM C6 ducts in place, they've just gotten a bit torn up since they don't fit too well. Found these for cheap, so I'm hoping that they fit better plus the outlet size is bigger. They are connected to my Lambert duct backing plates which direct air towards the center of the hub vs the rotor face. Appreciate you mentioning that as not all are aware of this potential issue!

I wonder if one is the C5 version and one is the C6. Mine look like the top ones in your picture.

Heard back from Randy at DRM:

The top one is c5 and c6 (for the c5 you would cut back on the oem part a bit more)The lower one is C5 only
