Hi, I am thinking of buying these straight pipes for my c5, but I don’t want to cut them when putting them in. How high do you think I’d need to jack the car to get them in, it seems easier because it’s without a muffler but I still am worried.
Do you guys think I’d be able to put these in with just normal jack stands?
if you try it on a jack, you'll need a 2 post and you'll need to be able to stand up. On a 4 post , you'll hit the lift when you try and rotate around and such so use a 2 post. Be prepared, it is gonna drone like a **** at normal highway speeds. Or do what the others have suggested. It is easier with mufflers as they can be removed.
That looks like someone cut some mufflers out of an existing setup and welded in a piece of pipe. They should have just put some clamps in - they already hacked it. Another cut won't hurt. haha
