How many miles you have on the shocks? Any of them leaking? You can tell a difference in ride between tour and sport. Tour is soft and handling is more floaty. Sport, things tighten up with harder ride and better handling. There are stories of F55 cars being released to the customer without the dealer removing the yellow shock limiter pieces. These pieces were only used when cars were being delivered to the dealer. With the shock limiters in place, the ride is always hard no matter what setting the suspension is in. If you don’t want to get new expensive F55 magnetic shocks, you can get any other brand but you will have to have someone with a Tech 2 device, mainly the dealer program them out of the system. If you don’t, then the car will not be able to go over 70mph because the shocks aren’t communicating anymore with the computer.

Note expect changes but they are not as noticable till on a rough surface. They are slight changes and the more the suspension is worked the more you may notice. Handling will improve but ride will be more harsh. I leave mine in the middle mode most of the time. Touring.

F45 has three modes F55 has two I believe. Mine I F45. That is not as advanced.

When I bought my 03 the ABS light was on, and It needed to pass state safety inspection, for that, both front shocks needed to be changed, their not cheap, I got them both from Davies Chevrolet in Fla, for both it came to $1500 + shipping. Now since I like the F55 option, I just got the 2 shocks, I'm not sure if someone else would like the F55 suspension like myself, And I believe there are ways to go in to the BCM and just cancel the F55 ?, for me I like this option.

You can use a Tech 2 and disable it on F55

On F45 you can use the Tech 2 or simulators to remove it.

It is not a problem to remove the shocks anymore.
