Out of State purchase advice
Hello. I have found a potential c5 z06 I would like to purchase. I am located in NJ while the car is located in SC. Unfortunately, my schedule doesnt really allow me to travel to look at the car in person. Car is clean on paper and pics seem to be clean as well. Is there any type of service that would allow me to get in contact with someone locally to the car and view it for me? I would rather not blindly purchase the car lol. Any guidance is appreciated!

I used this company to inspect a Corvette for me a few years ago and was happy with their work. I ended up not buying the car based on their inspection report.
The inspector was in North Carolina, so I assume they have a network of inspectors who work for them.

My advice would be to post a new post here in the C5 Section with the location of the car in the title....... If someone on the forum is close by I almost guarantee you will find them willing to stop by and check the car out, take pics of any issues, and test drive for you..... likely free of charge! I know I wouldn't pass up the oppurtunity to go look and and test drive any year Vette! ..... I think you will have the best luck finding someone if you put the location and the ask directly in the title of your post.
Good luck! Post the link to the car! Sometimes you can get some really great feedback from people here on the forum from the sale ad even!

In 100% of the cases I know of, with sight-unseen automotive purchases, the experience has always been negative. Take that FWIW...

The car is privately owned or from a dealer? I flew from Huntsville AL to Atlanta to get my 95 Z28 years ago - bought the car - drove it home - and not long after the dealership went belly-up. It took a year for me to get a title and a "title broker" (that the dealership had to pay for) is the one that finally got the paperwork sorted out.

I've purchased 2 Vehicles from out of state. A corvette and a Cadillac XTS V-SPORT Platinum twin turbo, shipped both and both inspected by lemon squad. I've been very happy with both cars, no problems no surprises...but I grill the selling company hard and I instruct LS for specific things I know about they may not check. My only complaint is the shipping process. The 2 I used were horrible with communication.
