Default Where does this throttle body fitting go?

So I just bought this highly modified c5 and it has some carbon fiber intake manifold and I beleive a z06 throttle body?

There is a fitting for a small air hose on the bottom and I have no clue where it should go to? Should I cap it off? I don’t feel any vacuum from it when the car is running and it doesn’t change how the car runs if I cover the hole. Anyone? Pic for reference. Thanks In advance.

There is a supposed to be a coolant or steam vent hose that runs through those pipes.

It is completely unnecessary and many do not have it hooked up or will bypass it.

Nothing to worry about.

thank you. Where would the other end go to? Would it be best to cap it off or just leave it open as it is now? Thanks

If you were to bother taking off the air intake and exposing the throttle body, you will realize there is another fitting on the opposite side that is likely to be left open as well. The driver side is the inlet, the pass side is the outlet. Your previous owner made the popular decision to bypass the throttle body connector by joining the two coolant lines directly together. There is virtually no downside to this mod, but the added benefits of a slightly cooler throttle body and simplifcation of future service are the added benefits.

I would not spend any significant time or money to cap those ports.

As stated above it’s just an empty line right now. Might be cleaner looking to push some rubber or plastic caps on them.

I always cut them off flush with the casting. Every ounce counts!

The other end of the hose you would attach in the picture should go to the radiator. Go to the auto parts store and get some cap, it would look a little cleaner.
