So you already did the loading of all your cd's onto your phone. Thats cool, I dont have any of that done nor do I have any music music sources on my phone so when it connects to the Bluetooth I virtually don't have anything to play and no subscriptions. Nor do I want any lol. So different radio Genres and cds are fine. It's basically background noise anyway.
IF you don't mind a few ads, spotify has a free version-- you have access to the entire spotify library, but with ads, and less skipping/hour permitted.
plus you can swap playlists very easily with friends. Quality is lower than CD though, if you're an audiophile.
I miss the hood old days when CDs were new tech and Corvette owners argued over what oil to use.
This argument to keep or remove must be giving the Honda guys a laugh. They remove whole interiors to get speed.
I remember arguing from day one over the crapiness of the head unit -- it was always ripped on for being the same thing chevy dumped in a tahoe.
We were ripping that thing out decades ago. I agree-- keeping it in seems to me to be silly if you're looking for quality (especialyl the crappy speakers), but there are many people that are happy with the sound, and don't feel like exerting time / energy over putting in a new system (I had no problem doing that years and years ago)
And you'll find many people on this forum that are more than willing to rip out interiors... maybe not for speed, though I understand why Honda guys would focus on the weight side of the power:weight ratio. :-)

I think you missed the point about the absurdity of this. Take the damn unit out if you want or leave it in if you want. Why debate this. This is just one of the reasons why some people mock Corvette fringe people.
We could be using this space for much more helpful. information vs this. Before long someone will post Amsoil will fix the player. LOL!
I know every car has its fringe.
As for removing parts the Honda folks generally do it because they have to. We do to make track cars.

No one missed the point. The OP asked for advice, and he's been given some.
Let's keep the comments helpful here and on point. We get plenty of room to post threads, so no need to worry about what the space is for -- as long as the comments are civil and on point. Thanks.
