I plan on tracking the crap out of my c5 and I'd like to put a wing on it any recommendations for the best wings to put on? I'm fine with chassis mounted as well.
When it comes to a list of top 10 things you need to do to a C5 to take it to the track, adding a wing is #87.
Pretty much this. Wings look cool and all, but put your money towards reliability mods, basic maintenance, cooling, suspension, brakes, tires, safety gear and seat time. Also if you add a wing you will need a splitter. Save all the aero bits for last.
I don't mean to rain on your parade and it is your car so if you really feel like you need a wing then by all means go for it but I track my C5 and I do not feel like I need a wing at all. I agree with @G-LOC . I found out quickly that updated brakes are a must meaning you need new wheels and new tires to fit bigger brakes. Also needed to upgrade the suspension as the base has too much roll. Needed a power steering cooler and it would boil the fluid and went with a DeWitts radiator w/ oil cooler to keep things in check. Also went with a Corbeau A4 seat to not slide around in the corners. At no time do I feel like I need more downforce.
Adjustable shocks are a must, will end any wants for a wing until AFTER you have been tracking the crap out of your c5 for a long time.
I had the rear always coming loose when entering into a turn, some combo of letting off the brake and turning the wheel too fast and occasionally a bump etc, even with new shocks the issue was still there. I put two more rebound clicks on the rear (vs. the front) since I only got the 1-way adjust shocks, and now the car is nailed down no matter what
Also if you got a 1999 or newer it will have an ebcm or "active handling" that also solves this problem via computers but I did it the old-fashioned way with my basic 98 lol 🫠 I view this wretched machine that only slows you down and covers up mistakes, but a lot of people swear by it, so 🤷
The C5 is well balanced, if you add a wing without front aero (splitter etc) then you will be having massive understeer. And if you add a functional splitter that works with the cooling system it's not a streetable car anymore. If you think you "need" a wing you need to fix your suspension setup first.

You want a wing?
Then you will need a splitter, a diffuser ,vortec generators
aero can get expensive and you better know what you are doing
with these combinations. Either you ride at 150 to 175 on rails or
you are thrown into the ditch.
Good luck
