In my opinion,(assuming your PCV system is running as designed) it's not going to do a whole lot for you unless you drive with sustained high RPM, and/or running a higher oil pressure.

I installed an Elite Engineering catch can on my ‘00 and ‘03. I did not use the car in competition and just did regular driving (occasionally spirited), but the catch can did trap enough oil from going into the intake that I felt it was worth it. You will have to decide if it is worth it to you.
Speaking from experience. My 2K has 124,000, runs great. When I replaced the intake with an LS6 unit I noticed a lot of oil in the intake. Having used catch cans several times in the past on boosted Grand Nationals, NA engines and on my quarter mile runner Harley's I put one on my LS1 along with an LS6 valley cover. It catches around a tablespoon or two in a tanks worth of gas. I am planning a powertrain update soon so not really worried about the seemingly excessive blow by, IMO a lot of it is caused by the piston rock/slap compromising the ring seal the LS1 is so famous for.
I have a Moroso that drains from the bottom with a valve, that is about the amount I get in a tank of fuel. Oil lowers octane rating, good enough reason for me to keep it out of the intake mixture.
