Dyes
How effective was the changeover and please share pictures.
I have been passively on the hunt for newer-gen C7 comp or C8 gt2 / comp seats and I find that the pairs coming up for sale lately have been other colors. Red. Grey. Tan. Black with white inserts. Etc. The one I saw tonight is C7 comp in kalahari.
I think if I saw some before/after close ups and heard any comments on them say 6 months after the work was done I'd be more comfortable de-skinning some seats to dye the crap out of them to black.

My vert top is Lt Oak and I plan to dye it Navy Blue, later this Fall. All the Lt Oak interior pieces are going to be spray-painted or dyed Navy Blue or Black. Will be using the above products.

It important to use the correct pre cleaners. Including silicone remover…. Then use the adhesion promoters for the specific substrate. The old leather simply vinyl dye. Like flexible paint
Not sure on the newer stuff some of it is it’s referred to as an aniline dye. More like a stain…
It’s an Art …..AND a Science You need both -or it can look like a kindergarten project!
Trust me, I’ve had to fix “talent’ before…
Research and Enjoy. It can be done well…
