There used to be a reproduction version, I bought one years ago since the stock one seems discontinued. Right now I can't even find a used one on ebay... maybe post a WTB thread in the Classifieds?
I have another partial solution for you... the C6 version is much more available and can be retrofitted. I'm running the C6 lower and upper shifter boot insulators (C5 only came with the lower - the upper helps reduce noise from the shifter area). https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...insulator.html
Yeah I have been on the hunt for one as well as mine is ripping. Zip corvette sent me a catalog but their part number does not come up on their site. I might call them tomorrow. I was looking at c6 stuff but the bolt holes are in different spots by the looks of it. Looks like it can be modified to fit. Curious on the upper cover with a MGW shifter.
I searched "high and low", last year, for a lower shift boot. New ones were discontinued by GM, a number of years ago, and the inventory of them has been used up. There were "promises" of a reproduction piece being made, but it appears that it was an unfulfilled promise....

The reproduction version was produced, just not for a few years now it seems. I bought one a few years ago.
