Default Radar detector mounts for C5 Z

Anybody have any recommendations for radar detector mounts? The Blendmount is pretty pricey https://blendmount.com/aluminum-rada...y-2115-series/ and seems like a bit of overkill and possible vision obstruction. Just looking for something better than the suction mounts.

I bought this from Eckler's, . It is for Corvettes '97 to '04.. I used velcro to attach the radar unit to the bracket. The bracket attaches to the visor rest mount. I installed on the passenger side. It does not block vision.
Part # 25-187628-1
Unfortunately Eckler's site says it is out of stock.

I use the BlendMount. It's expensive but it's pretty good. No need to readjust like I did with the cheaper ones.

A 3m mount on the windshield works well. You can find them on eBay specific for your detector. I used one up high on my C7. You can also mount it low near the dash and just run a straight power cord up to it around the dash.

One of the folks that had the car before glued one of those discs for a suction mount on my dash. I just took some thick clear double face tape and stuck mine on there, easy day.
It keeps it low and out of my line of sight, and the tape was just in the craft draw.

For auto-dimming mirrors it's the BMG-2015 model. For the non auto-dimming mirrors it's the BMG-2001. Just make sure you put the correct radar detector in the drop down. If you use the vehicle fit guide on their website you can see this with photos. I also paired it with their mirror tap kit.

I also have a Blendmount. Pricier compared to other stick-on alternatives, but since I'm the original owner and bought and installed it about 10 years ago, the cost has been forgotten and it's been rock solid the entire time.
