I am not an authority but I have seen posts where folks have used this size on stock wheels when the tire mfr did not offer the 265ZR40-17. Dimensionally it is barely larger diameter than the SCs. I would buy this larger tire if necessary to get the mfr and product that I want in the next set of tires I buy.

I ran 265s on my zo6 18" and dont think 275 would have been a problem at all, I have a 10" wide frt 18" now and have 275s because of a good deal on pilots but a 285 would be perfect on my 10", I'm running 335s on my 11.5" rears and they don't buldge even though I would have preferred a 12" rim with these they would stick out noticeably with the extra 1/2" and I didn't want to tub.

I want to put the Kumho Ecsta MX in the front and rear. Kumho does not make the tire in 265/40/17 so I'm going to try 275.

Going to this slighly larger size, is a good way to drastically increase your tire selection. There sure isn't much in a 265/40/17.

Thanks dude. Hey, I know you've been in India or something, and you may have missed the tuning special at 21st CMC. Here's a link if you're interested: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=470010
I got some great gains from doing mine, and the lifetime deal is great. I believe J.P. said he was extending this special.

Just got the same Kumho MX's 275\40\17 put on the front last week. Great looking tire. Haven't driven much on it yet, waiting to get it aligned first.
