I can tell you not easy job replacing the cable on C5, hope you have lift or if you farm it out to local shop, let them get the cable cause this way they will be responsible for there work and cable, and most shops give you warranty.

Thx Team Owner. I will be replacing the complete assembly when I get it. I will do it myself. I have the car high enough to work under it with fairly comfortable room.
