Most likely a dumb question but then again there is a lot of experience here. I have a 13,000 mile 2002 Z06 that I drive about a 1000 miles a year. Since I bought it 8 years ago, I have had a bra on it. The paint on the entire car is flawless having no paint damage or previous repairs.
I took the bra off to clean behind it as I normally do and my wife asks why I am going to put it back on. I thought the answer was obvious but maybe not. What kind of experience do people have without covering? This is my 6th C5 but I bought the others new and really don't remember front bumper damage being a problem from road debris.
I was quoted $1600 to PPF the partial front area. Many of them I have seen done I really didn't like. Maybe some opinions or experiences?
I have it on mine. Love it. If you are seeing it, you are looking for it otherwise fairly unnoticeable. Another possibility of why you are seeing it is because of a poor job applying it. Either way less noticeable than a bra
"Potential damage" control to the front bumper "cover" while the Corvette is parked in your garage is perhaps a possible event but being 20 years old and not having the sky fall on it means you've done well in the protection department ... even without a coating of stuff on the cover.. I would relax the fretting and just drive the car under the pretense of adding character to the C5 from the pebble that finds its way to the surface of your bumper cover ... Thinking positively of that added "character" will aleave any potential fretting... She's right by the way.

If you drive the car, rock damage most likely will occur. If that bothers you, the front bra offers good protection. So does a PPF application. A good installer of the PPF will have it virtually invisible on the car.
