My C5 has a cracked front driver-side fender thats being held together by tape. I want to replace this and want to go over all my options. There are tons of aftermarket carbon fiber or flared fenders, but from what I am reading, the fitment isn't the best and is expensive. I have searched Craigslist, OfferUp, and Facebook Marketplace and messaged a couple of people parting out their cars. My dad has worked on fiberglass fairings on his motorcycle and said they are easy to work on, but I personally do not know anything about this. Is there anything else I should consider?
If it's a beater, do what you want and have fun all day long. In which case step up the game from the speed tape to drilling some holes and zip tying that plastic tight.
If you want the car to pass a general view then a used piece from a C5 salvage yard like Vette Nuts or Nextgen is the ticket.
If you're going to drift it or like the looks of the aftermarket fenders - most of which do NOT fit to even the loose oem standards - then cram some big tires in there and have a blast.
The world is your oyster with the C5. Any which way you like.

Just so you know the factory original fender is not fiberglass, it's some type of plastic.
Looking at those and C5 Carbon's fenders. I like the way their kit looks, specifically the hood but the carbon fenders look similar in price to the ones on Faricloth Composites.
