I just wanted to see if there any special / safe a cleaner to use on the dash or steering wheel on my 2003, it doesn't sit out in the sun all that much, but I wanted to get something to use but is safe ?
Well it hasn't been cleaned in recent time, I've had it for 2 years now and I just wanted something strong but not too strong. And using the well learned mix, "if it ain't broke don't fix it " But I got the Turtal wax product I'll give it a try tommaror and report back ! Thanks all !
Adams has a nice interior detailed cleaner that I use. I then apply a light coat of Aerospace 303 protectant on the dash and other a vinyl areas. 20 years and still looking good.
With interiors I follow the less is more principle. I do not like graphenes or silicons and the false slick look, nor especially the actually slick feel it puts on the interior. Likewise, some of these cleaners I believe are at fault for causing the sticky airbag cover issues over time. So the water and a rag goes a long way.
That said. I have been in someone else's car where it was clean but felt normal and I had asked what they used and I had been told the Adams interior cleaner. I can see using it myself at some point which is a large admission for me. I detailed cars in college 26 years ago and have always prized products which reduce elbow investment while presenting a genuinely clean finish without the 'cheat' of silicons and graphenes. The evolution of so-called ceramic coats has presented a separate exception to that rule for me as the product lines have matured.
Check out the cleaning brushes. They look like shaving cream brushes. They really make a big difference in getting the cleaner down into the surface.
just wiping it around with a towel doesnt do that.
Griots interior cleaner is by far the best I have used. It cuts through all the grime the inside of the car conjur up, it's the only one that can clean up sunblock in a single go. Spray your cloth, not the surface, wipe and done. It's amazing stuff.
You're putting "product" on interior surfaces... Stop it... Just clean the surface with LABOR not "product"...one must be patient!... The proper correction method to step number one is use no "product" in your cleaning method... Be gentle young man and carry your big stick proudly... Its toach will carress the surfaces as you would your woman... She is desiring a toaching expert...as is the C5... hopefully with a manor of toaching her lovely surfaces that gently "gets the job done" and not the adding of mascara to her touchable worm surfaces of exodermic velvet! 😏
