Part identification. Can't find it anywhere. It's right above the oil filter.

That sensor part number should be 12608814 or after 2001 15369305. Its look to be same as coolant sensor...

google: ls1 engine oil cooler block off plate. That should get you started in the right direction.

That is the oil temp sensor. As mentioned it is identical to the coolant temp sensor on the forward end of the left hand cylinder head.
