Default Inspecting 243 Heads

A few months ago I had bought a set of 243’s (supposedly coming off of a Z06 with 40k miles)

As i’m inching closer to swapping out my heads and cam, I really want to get them inspected to make sure they are flat, and really insuring that I won’t be putting on a faulty part (Not really looking for them to put ported or anything)

I live in North MS, and really have no idea where to send them locally. I don’t know if there is anywhere online that people like to ship heads off too.

Or should I contact Local performance shops and maybe they have recommendations?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Take them to an automotive machine shop. Have them perform a valve job, replace the valve seals, and install whatever valve springs match the cam you intend to install.

And have them do a clean up mill. That way you know they're clean and flat. Shouldn't be no more than 2-300 for a clean up pass, valve job, and reinstall with the springs you need. (not counting the cost of the springs).

If you do want to send them out, you'll spend up to $200 on shipping costs alone.

Just search auto machine shops in your area, and give them a call.
