Had a lifted truck behind me in a turning lane push me a bit while waiting to turn. Its a congested area and we were already sitting there about 5-7 minutes and when the car in front was able to turn the guy behind me didn't see/ forgot I was in front of him and ended up hitting me. First instinct was grabbed the e brake and hit the brakes and after about 30 seconds he finally stopped and we ended up swapping info. He admitted fault and I get accidents happen. His insurnace has already said they are admitting fault. Only issue I am running into currently is when he was pushing the car maybe a foot with the E brake and my foot on the brake could that cause wheel bearing damage? I've noticed a slight squeak while driving. Very faint, but it is hard to hear over the long tubes and cam. Can I bring this up and seek additional damages once I get the car up and check to see if in fact they are bad? Car has 44k miles 01 Z06. Any tips on countering the repair bill? I really don't want to get a lawyer involved.
He did not hurt your hub bearing. If it had an issue it was not cause buy pushing you.
More than likely it is just brake pad noise. You could have a wear indicator just starting with that kind of mileage or one of the pads are just a bit lose. They can vibrate to create squeak. If you have changed pads and went more aggressive they can squeak too.
But pushing you on your e brake is not going to damage your hub bearing.

Can't hurt to bring your concerns up to the repair facility, but I doubt the wheel bearings are damaged. Sorry to hear about the accident and hope you get the car fixed up like it was new.
I feel your pain. Almost got plowed over recently by one of those lifted trucks. When I laid on the horn, he got all pissy like it was my fault. Just like back in the day when I rode motorcycles...drive like they don't see us.

I ride a motorcycle as well so I definitely understand the drive like they don’t see you. Been hit 5 times riding. Wish I knew how to fix it myself and a old riding buddy of mine owned a paint and body shop who always asked me if I wanted to learn but turned him down because it just never interested me like the rest of a car, truck or motorcycle. I can do just about everything except that. Unfortunately Larry Mix died a few years ago on riding.

Just noticed my tail light is cracked in half too. I work overnights and have been putting this off for about 3 weeks because I’ve got a lot going on right now and just don’t want to deal with another headache.
