Some C5 Care
Some of the fellers stopped by to give one of the gang's C5 some clay bar attention. Actually the finish needed a little more attention we wanted to give such as a medium compound buffing, some paint correction, and maybe an overall re-paint. Considering it turned out OK, a good close-up shot would show otherwise.

This particular car, the finish was pretty bad, heavy car wash washing, little gouges and nicks, scrathes, lot of angel hair haze, it needed a professional going over, that stuff we just don't want to get into. Most of what we do are pretty good finished that just a clay bar and a detail will bring it back looking good.
From the photos the paint looks like it could be brought back.
Clay just pulls impurities embedded in the paint and cleans it. Clay has no polishing effect.
This car may need a light wet sanding with 2000 or 3000 grit then polished with a series of polishes with an orange pad. Moving to a less aggressive pad. It would speed things up if a rotory vs orbital polisher but only in experienced hands.
I have saved some really rough paints with some more aggressive products. There is a bit of a learning curve but it generally can save a repaint in May cases. If unsure detail shop should be able to help and cost much less than a repaint.

Well aware of all that, but that's not our goal, and the guys that have their cars done know that going in. This is just a bunch of ol' boomers getting together, looking like we know what we're doing spritzing up a car, consuming copious amounts of coffee and donuts.

Just making sure that sone knows there are options before paint. I think that car would clean up well. It does not look that bad.
