It's a tedious job but well worth the results. You don't really need a kit, just a few boxes of Dynamat/Siless and a boatload of mylar tape.

I did the crazy cowboy kit, a combination of foil faced foam and stinger deadening mats for large flat areas. On first engine start after completion I thought my motor was suddenly hurt until I put the window down. Very pleased with the results. Been 5 years now, and still happy with my investment.

I did the Vettenuts kit a few years back. Did an ok job, made a difference.

Heard good reviews of both the Crazy Cowboy and VetteNuts kits.

I have the kit installed in my C5 the other day, and it does cut down on the road noise considerably

The DEI tunnel and tunnel plate kits (along with two stacked factory c6 plates) did a great job of reducing heat transfer into the cabin, even after ceramic coating the LT headers and X-pipe, The VetteNuts kit made a big improvement in reducing cabin noise and helps reduce the heat transfer even more. Both highly recommended!

I am not saying the cabin with the windows up is as quiet as an XLR, but it was a huge improvement in noise deduction as well as heat transfer. I do know it's quieter than my brother-in-laws deadstock '13 Grand Sport. It was well worth the cost, time and effort to install these kits. Even my wife was fairly amazed by the change and that is saying something. She is not a car person in the least (but she still has to look good in the car) and more importantly we can carry on a conversation in the car. Even the factory stereo sounds better, well - how about at least you can hear it now
