Sharp Light Innovations ACA headlights vs. the competition.
The Ebay headlights sell for $160
Our Bi-LED ACA headlights sell for $715
Construction and durability is a major factor. In my personal experience, the ebay version has:
- fragile housings that routinely crack upon installation (even with careful use of hand tools)
- poor weather seal between main lens and housing
- poor optics of the main lens causing light distortion
But Consider WHY you buy aftermarket headlights for a car with pop ups. Its ALL about optical performance.
What you get with the Ebay kit:
- ACA clone housings
- Halogen light source
- Relay harness (why?)
Ebay ACA low beam performance:
Notes:
- Practically no cutoff
- Poor bulb alignment resulting in weak (if any) hot-spot
- Customer reports these lights as shown produce LESS use-able light than factory
Installation of an HID bulb will increase output but NOT improve the pattern.
Similarly, installation of a high output LED bulb will also increase output, but the pattern will get worse due to lack of focal point of the LED chips
In comparison
Sharp Light Innovations Bi-LED ACA headlights.
What you get
- Genuine DOT/SAW ACA housings
- Purpose-built Bi-LED projectors (provides low and high beam patterns)
- Relay harness allows low beams to remain on at the same time with high beam function
Notes:
- Sharp cutoff
- Built-in LED chip provides perfect optical alignment resulting in a bright hotspot in the TDC with gradual fade to outer edges of pattern
- Customer reviews speak for themselves

Our Bi-LED ACA Headlights provide vastly superior low and high beam performance. When it comes to headlight performance, don't go cheap. You're ability to see where you're going (and what might be in the way) is too important.

Completely, totally and wholeheartedly. And more importantly I agreed with my pocketbook and could not be happier! I can now drive my C5 at night, where before it was near impossibly and not in the least bit safe. Thank you for your continued support of the C5 community with your excellent products!

This holiday season I drove 1400mi at night with his kit and the visibility was phenomenal.
If possible, I do think having both in a fair side to side competition would be great for both companies.
Ultimately, the "sleepy" eye style fit what I wanted my car to look like more than the standard height pop ups.
Once you add in that you need these headlights and the bezels separate, the cost is closer for a comparison.

Note: the photo you posted has me curious if there is any vertical limited on the KDTV headlights or if the photo was a high beam shot.

The kdtv cutoff line is not as sharp as yours (no pun intended) but it definitely has one

The photo was just one I took on my Holiday drive to show my friend the low beam difference on some of the non-lit roads. The KnightdriveTV headlights are a "sleepy eye" so shorter opening to the headlights. My car is also lowered a bit on coilovers so I have mine adjusted a tad taller and pointed upwards a tad more.
