just want to get some opinions from others, i have a c5z with 28k miles, have all the parts to supercharge it and with install will be around 21k thats parts and labor , not including a new clutch or torque tube rebuilt, i have an offer for
my c5z and 19k cash to upgrade to a c6z with 28k miles , what would be your choice and why ? and the c6z heads have been done
c6 is superior to the c5 in just about every way (except looks). That said, if you already have the parts... if it were me, I'd keep the c5 and supercharge it.
I say this having done a supercharger on my c5, and it is a blast. it won't handle quite as well as the c6, but having 500 rwhp on tap in a 3200 pound car is something you owe it to yourself to experience :-)

What is your goal?
You have the C5Z and all the parts, how much labor do you have to add to finish the project? How much will you get if you sell the parts?
"heads have been done" could mean anything from 'known issue addressed' to 'shade tree mechanic performed questionable things'.
As JMG2 said, the C6Z is far superior to the C5Z in all categories (looks being subjective).
I sold my 604rwhp C6Z about 2-years ago and purchased a C5Z because I always loved the look of the C5Z. I put a ton of money and performance parts into my low mile (19K miles) 06 C6Z and I just got done recently spending an additional $13K in mods to my C5Z. There are tradeoffs between the two, but both cars are great in their own ways.
I think you will be more than happy either way you choose.
Pics of my C5Z and C6Z.

The LS7 needs aftermarket heads. And when modded are N/A street monsters! Absolutely love N/A on the street. Chopping down many stronger turbo, E63s amg's, M's, GTR's, Hellcat, etc.
And the surprised look on their faces is priceless....
C6Z hands down......Just my opinion, but I think the C5 in general doesn't look good without a hatchback. Not a fan of the FRC, looks like a pickup to me with all that *** in back.
I wouldn't kick either Z out of bed for eating crackers.....But I think the C6 gen is the last beautiful Corvette.
I love the C5 and it has been my dream car and will never get rid of it. However the C6Z is peak Corvette to me. Front engine, 427, quad round tail lights, wide body. Maybe one day I'll be lucky to own one.
I'm bringing this back for clarity. When OP says 21k for part and labor.... does that include purchase price for the car? If that is a quote to bolt on a centrifugal blower kit you need a new shop!
Depends on your goals and your flavor preference.
C5Z + 10psi = Fun! Add a Jam Cam or similar and you can be around 625rw.
C6Z + cam = Fun! Same ballpark I'm told.
Key differences depending on year are trans, diff, and tire sizes. Are those differences worth $19k though? You can buy a built 6060 and C6Z diff to add to your C5 for about half that, then SELL the C5 parts for about 3k to offset cost. Best of all worlds imo. But I dig frankensteined C5s.

plus one on that, parts, labor, install should be half of that at beast.
Exactly. Takes a lot more power from a blower or turbo car to compete with a strong na car.
depends. If you just throw on a super charger, then sure. But most people don't -- mild cam gives you a ton of low end torque with a super. Both are great cars, but in this instance I'd go with the blown c5 any day.

As you say, it's just your opinion... Corvette cars don't eat crackers.... Brilliant 🙄
C6Z was literally my dream car. That's why I bought one. It shares a garage with my cammed C5.
620rwhp reels in a LOT of really powerful cars.
A blown C5Z is fun, but the hatch is more practical. And there's just something awesome about having a 427 in a small block package.
This would be a hard choice, but if I'm understanding you correctly - trading your C5Z AND $19k? That's expensive. That better be the most perfect C6Z on the planet for that money.
For reference, mine was $34k with 34,000 miles and documents and receipts for all the work done.
