I have seen multiple posts saying Kooks is much cheaper than ARH when it comes to headers. When pricing out what I want on each respective website, there seems to be a major difference in pricing. Am I looking in the wrong spot or is the pricing I should expect for Kooks?
ARH 1-7/8” with catless X-Pipe: $2143 shipped
Kooks 1-7/8” with catless X-Pipe: $3300 shipped
I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I’d like to go with the cheaper of the two and don’t want to pull the trigger without checking first.
Go with the cheaper one. American racing isn’t bad. With a catless xpipe, stay away from slp loudmouths or b&b bullet exhaust. IMO, it’s going to be way too loud. Corsa sport, magnaflow street series, or a used z06 titanium should be perfect with that setup. They all sound a little different. Pick your poison.

Probably going with ARH at this point due to the major price difference. Already have a Corsa Extreme cat back so hoping they sound good paired with each other!
I have ARH headers and mid pipe without cats on my car, and they were super easy to install. I have seen some posts with people struggling to get other brands to fit (I have no experience with Kooks), but I can say the ARH were effortless.

Check with JMS I got a great deal on Kook's from them
my recent issues with ARH
1. I ordered the non-emission long tube headers, and received headers with AIR/EGR fittings welded in! (not the end of the world, made block off plates)
2. When received they were extremely dirty, metal shavings and LOTS of grease (again not the end of the world, was getting them ceramic coated)
3. Took 6 months to receive !!!! with VERY limited communication
The quality of the welds for the price IMO were complete trash, the welds were mig welded. i was expecting tig. again, for the price i was expecting great quality and was not impressed.
If i did it again, i would order Billy Boat long tubes and 𝕏 pipe. There cat back exhaust looks great, Tig welds, packaged great! shipped on time from there website estimates.
ARH is TRASH!!!!

Unfortunately, that's not the first time I've heard that about ARH.
No kidding. It’s making me consider going with Speed Engineering lol
I wanted to buy American-made headers, but couldn't afford them. I ended up buying Flowtech headers and x-pipe. They were imported, but, interestingly, I learned that Flowtech was owned by Holley.

Seems about right - both are quality options, I've ran ARH on my car for a long time now and no complaints whatsoever.
We're dealers for ARH & Kooks and would be happy to extend forum pricing if interested.
