Default Anyone using a C6 AC compressor on their C5?

I got a heck of a deal on a complete accessories kit for my 02 Z as I'm dropping in an LS2, but it looks like it's a newer style AC compressor in the kit.

The C5 compressor is a rear mount for the lines, but it looks like the C6 style is side mount.

I'm running Borla XR1 long tubes and I'd really like to use the new ac compressor, if possible.

Has anyone made it work?

Maybe switching to C6 ac lines?

Pic for reference:

It will work if you can mount it, the pulley is aligned with the crank pulley, and you fabricate a hose set. The C6 uses a TXV so I don’t see the C6 hose set as a direct bolt on.

The control valve in the back of the compressor may be a different setting between the 2 compressors. There should be a dab of paint on the exposed end. If they are the same color paint, you are good to go. If they are different, you will probably want to use the control valve from the C5.

The C5 uses a 7 cylinder variable displacement compressor called a V7. The C6 uses a newer design called a 7CVC, also a 7 cylinder variable displacement compressor.
