Hey new member,
I have a black 01 c5 that I street drive and do road course stuff with, Gingerman and Road America, wanting to get to Mid-Ohio in the next year or so. Been mostly working on some staple mods. I have had my C5 since 2019 I believe and follow spec corvette youtube videos but never joined the forums till I started looking for used parts recently. Going to a 315 square set up this summer as I've been running 265 from 285 rears (rear magnesium wheels for front and speedlines for rears (picture is old from when I had rep speedlines)), just ordered Wilwood SLC56 Caliper Kit after I had toasted a couple stock and reman calipers. Using 2 piece stock size baer rotors I have along with the over sized rear rotor kit I had bought used. I have Dewitt radiator with oil cooler on the left side and run the C6 hard lines for that after I switched from an Ebay oil cooler with improved racing adapter but was seeing oil temps above 290. I have Bilstein shocks and west coast corvette sway bars with adjustable end links. I put the z06 power steering cooler on the car after ruining a rack a couple summers ago at a track day. Had fun this last winter replacing the harmonic balancer and put a new waterpump in since I could use the space, after the steering rack and the balancer I don't think I want to be friends with my front subframe too much anymore lol. Mostly looking to keep the car as reliable as possible and do track days on a budget searching the c5 FS links.
