Default Interesting running boards

What do you think about these units? I'm not a huge fan of the ones made for a C5 but I think these C8 pieces would look good on my vert, IMO.
Does anyone know if this style might be available for C5's?

I doubt it. Mostly because the side skirts designed for the C8 (and C7) account for the wider and flared rear quarter panels. The C5 has straighter lines between the front and rear wheel wells.

They could probably be made, just not sure on the demand. You may also be able to modify or fabricate C8 skirts as pictured with different mounting points for the C5.

Running boards?.. Afraid not. At least not a historical running board . They left the seen in 1935 Bunkie.. That's 85 years ago.

Side skirts?

The sky is the limit.

Most of the ones I see are home grown poly boards sanded and painted. Some cars benefit from the looks, or it works at least. Others don't. I have no understanding of their impact on aero or not.

A lot can be done with a skil saw and router. Start with cardboard and some tape to mock it up and see if the style pleases you. Go to the next level if it does.

Sorry for not being more clear, Al. What I meant was to use some of the design elements of those C8 skirts in C5 units.

Get yourself a photo of the Pratt Miller C5 race car (pictured a few blurbs back) ... That's all y'all need... Be assured, all the aero was proven.

I do not think I have ever seen that style side skirt on a C5. Not sure it would look that good on the C5 body style.
