Good afternoon,
Might be upgrading the wagon wheels with ne chrome ones. Do not want to change tire size, I just purchased stock size tires. What are my options?
Been looking around but it' s rather confusing for a non-wheel tech guy.
Car originally had wagon wheels. Five star Stock sizes on the car 10 years Z06 sizes. With stock tires. C6- style. 17&18
Both are aftermarket. This wheel has been on the car for 15 years.
The factory polished skinny 5 spokes are probably your best bet. Factory fit, use the same size tires. Not actually chrome but shiny none the less! Even better because they won’t pit.

If you like the wagon wheel look, there may be vendors that offer an exchange program - check out West Coast Corvette.
Otherwise, the Y2K polished wheels look great in either stock or reproduction versions. In addition, the forum has a lot of wheel vendors that can set you up with stock size wheels in a variety of styles.
Another vote for the later OEM polished and coated aluminum wheels. Besides being readily available and inexpensive the look "proper" on the car. Back in the 1970's we all said, "if it don't go CHROME IT"!

I installed (3rd Party chromed) stock Speedily Made in Italy thinspoke on my car the first week after I bought the C5 back in 2000. Bought an identical backup set from House of Wheels a few years ago. This has been my only car the past 25 years and all the wheels still look like new..
Chrome / aluminum wheels on a C5 Corvette are considered classic by classy folk .. Black wheels on a C5 Corvette are considered modern "youngster think"... I'm not a youngster and will attempt to act my age!... 🤔 I will ask this forum if I want to act like a teeny bopper with my little black wheels on my bad *** classic C5 Corvette. 😏 Just teasing, I won't ask. 😊
Well I checked out the wheels from everywhere, I wanted a 5 spoke not the Z06 replicas. I was 1st going with chrome but always like the black with machined lip.
I figured I'd change up the looks a bit. So I ordered the gloss black with machined lip from West Coast Corvette.. I'll post pic next week when they are installed.
The new wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1's Supercar 3's all around! (Stock Sizes). West Coast Corvette OEM wheels, gloss black with machined lip, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3's all around.
Fcar98, would it be possible to get the detailed specs our you red C5 rims/wheels. My son and I really like the look and want to switch out the OEMs on our 2002. Rim sizes/width? tire size? offset? any spacers? Thanks.

I'm an old timer too, and our recently purchased C5 has black racing wheels. Car is silver with black highlights. May be teenybopper stuff but I like the color contrast, reminds me of the '67 I had back in '72, it was silver with black highlights and knock off wheels. (If I had kept it ...)

Front 17-9.5”-56mm, Rear 18-10.5”-58mm. No spacers. Stock C5 tire sizes. They are from a company out of Sarasota Fla.
Thank you for the quick reply. Just to clarify on the tire size on you rims; are you running coupe size = F 245/45-17 R 275/40-18? Or Z06 = F 265/40-17 / R P295/35-18
thanks again!

Thanks again for the tire size.
I found two places that sell your rim specs 17-9.5”-56mm, Rear 18-10.5”-58mm. So I'm set on that. (Alot of sellers have the rear at 56mm.)
Now I'm trying to decide on tires between.
Coupe sizes 245/45/17 275/40/18
up one on width 255/45/17 285/40/18
stock Z06 265/40-17 / P295/35-18
Very hard for me to select without seeing them mounted in person.
(I think I'm going to get Nitto NT555 G2 (because they have in set "rim guard" and are not to expensive)

I love your setup, can you give me widths of wheels and size of tires, did you have to run any spacers? I think this setup would look good on my 2003 anniversary red
