What’s it worth
Been looking at newer Corvettes.
Stumbled across a One owner, museum delivered 2004 coupe.
38,xxx miles. M6, mag ride, clear top, preferred equip group, cd changer, museum delivery body side moulding. Car is white with red interior all original in ex shape I am told.
Owner has all receipts from day of delivery until present.
LS3 engine installed about 2,000 miles ago by Chevy dealer. Engine was dyno tuned and it has a Corsa SS exhaust.
Haven’t discussed numbers because I am not familiar enough with the C5 market.
Anyone have an idea of what this is worth if I should be interested?
First thing I would ask is, why the new engine and the upgrade to an LS3. Secondly having that engine installed at a dealership and then dyno tuned cost some serious cash. I am sure the owner is going to think he can recover a lot of that cost but I doubt it. ZO6 cars are bringing $23-27K so I would not even consider more than that for it. A clean non ZO6 with low mileage can be had for $19-21K. A lot of owners list for a lot more and can try selling it for a VERY long time but in the end that is what they bring in the NorthWest.
Good luck with the negotiation since it might well be worth it at the right price.

There is some value in the more powerful LS3, but no more so than an LS1 with internal mods. Frankly, most low mileage buyers would prefer an all original car, thus the mods don’t bump the price for the most part. Thinking high teens based on descriptions.
