I’ve been wanting to overhaul my C5 interior, and I finally found out about Apsis. My only concern is the weight gains it would lead to. So that leads me to my question: How big of a weight increase would a full leather interior give?
Not worried about the $5k it's going to cost, worried about the "weight" lmao
Oh… so it costs that much, huh? There were no prices on the Apsis website. I was planning to look at the answers on this thread and then, if the weight gains weren’t too bad, pm apsisusa.

Reason: Typo
It will not add enough to make a difference. You are not dealing with very thick leather here and the plastic is not much lighter if it is even lighter.
If you want. Weight reduction do carbon body panels, get some expensive light wheels, dump the run flats.

Yeah, it's expensive. $5k won't even get you halfway there...
I've done the entire interior .. dashboard, center console, door panels, custom leather on c7 seats. as for weight, the leather is really thin, it barely weighs more than the plastic, if at all ( I haven't weighed it, but from handling the pieces, doesn't feel like any difference) I couldn't tell you the difference between a leather covered piece and the shitty plastic from the 90s they used. Want to offset it-- replace the seats with c7 or c8 seats, I believe they're lighter.
